FISH REPORT - Sept 6
INSHORE
Stripers
Back ponds, Point Judith Pond, having many more fish with the abundance of bunker, snappers, and silversides. Stripers, chub mackeral and green bonitia were all present in the top water boils.
Point Judith Light to Deep Hole were the top landing locations the last couple of days, however fish must be traveling the beach. All the sharks around the block making the striper fishing difficult, but the fish are still there.
FLUKE
South shore, Hooter, and Windmills have improved over the last two weeks
Seabass
Hooter, Wind Mills, East Grounds has the biggest seabass however Matunuck, Moonstone and Charlestown are holding some keeper with consistant action, there are dogfish and searobins in the mix.
TOG
Point Judith Center Wall and Charlestown have been many of the popular hot spots. Some togs on epoxy jig and some seabass and cod have been reported.
COD
Cod fishing opend Sept 1 and Sand Bank Channel and Sharks Ledge has some consistant reports and a few large fish in the mix, 25 and 30lbs.
OFFSHORE
Shark
Sharks are everywhere if you haven't encountered them, you are lucky.
TUNA
Bluefin still hanging in the Gully on the jig and dead stick ronz. Habs and CIA have had 60+" before today, Jig and troll bites. Giants are in the mix. Shipping Lanes and Southern part of the Dump has had the best yellowfin fishing with reports coming almost daily middle of this past week.
Canyons
Fish Tales tile fishing really just the last report. We are waiting for Big Eye / Yellowfin bite reports.
