FISH REPORT - Aug 11
INSHORE
Stripers
Brenton Reef, Narragansett Ocean Rd, Pt Judith Light House,
North Rip, SW and SE Corners of Block Island, Watch Hill all had good
striper reports. Trolling tube and worm from kayak, live eels, umbrellas have
been best lures of choice.
Green Bonita
Fish popping up all around the Harbor of Refuge East Wall, West Wall, inside and outside all walls. Epoxy Jig and Current Snipers, RonZ and Albie Snax have all been popular.
North Rip another good location trolling sp minnows.
FLUKE
Lots of catching with best keeper coming from East of the HOOTER BOUY and East Grounds.
Wind Mills next best location.
Seabass
About 90ft off Center Wall, Hooter, Windmills, East Grounds producing bigger fish.
TOG
Hazard Rock and Whale Rock, East and West Walls best togging spots. Water little to
warm but some keepers in the mix.
SQUID
New Harbor and Newport best squiding
OFFSHORE
Shark
Threshers at Hooter and Windmills. Brown Sharks everywhere there are bass.
TUNA
Habs has had most consistent bluefin jig bite with ronZ and nomad jigs over last 10days. Anglers also did well trolling bally hoo. Windmills fishing improving with jigs and more keeper recreational keepers
Canyons
East Atlantis anglers catching big eye, yellows, tilefish and occasional swordfish.
