Fish Report - May 5

INSHORE

Fluke

The fluke fishing has begun.  Anglers fishing the East Wall of the Harbor of Refuge and just outside the Center wall are catching.  There are some 20" fish in the mix.

Striped Bass

Striper fishing remains the same in the back ponds, such as Potters, and the West Wall of the Harbor of Refuge.  Small grubs seem to have the best results.  Days of SW wind also seem to be more productive.

Tautog

George' s Short Wall in Galilee produced great numbers of Tautog over the weekend.  Several anglers limited out in no time.  The limit is three fish.

Cod

Cod fishing remains the same south of Block Island.  There is a good mix of large hake, cod and blackfish.
