Fish Report- June 30
-
INSHORE
Striped Bass
North Rip Block Island, along with the SW Ledge and SE Corner of Block have had the best results. Bass are biting eels better, large fish weighed in daily up to 50lbs. South Shore areas from Point Judith Light to Watch Hill have also been productive.
FLUKE Center Wall Harbor of Refuge, five cottages, and Green Hill are the hot spots. Anglers seem to be fishing 20-40 feet of water. Month Long Snug Harbor Doormat Derby Fluke Tournament July 1-31!
Black Seabass/Scup
Nebraska Shoals and the Bell Bouy have had reports of black seabass and scup on the rocky bottom areas. They are almost bothersome while fluking.
OFFSHORE
Bluefin Tuna
South of Block Island a few giants have been landed and schoolie bluefin are moving through. Sounds like there are lots of sandeel too, so maybe they will stay.
Sharks
The Gully and Suffix Wrecks have had plenty of blue sharks. Hopefully, makos and threshers move in soon.
Canyons
First canyon report 5 miles East of the FISH TALES plenty of schoolie yellowfin tuna on the troll. There were as many as you wanted, but none over 30lbs.
